10 Step Plan!
- It's recommened you save your original article in a plain text editor like 'Notepad' on windows, or 'TextEdit' on mac. You can incorporate the correct code (see below) in that plain text editor.
(If you have written your piece in microsoft word or google docs for collaboration purposes, you can use this tool to turn it into standard html: Html Cleaner. If you copy the HTML code outputted into a plain text editor you can then check it for errors, save your work and move on to Step 2)
- When you think it's ready and you have saved you work you can go to 'Content - Create content - Article' in the staff toolbar (when you have the correct privillages)
here is what it looks like:

- You can then enter your title and blurb in plain text.
- Before you write anything in the 'Body' section make sure you are in 'administrator' mode and have disabled the rich text editor

- Upload any images which need adding and adjust any image urls in your text editor as appropriate
- Copy your article from your text editor and paste your article with all the correct code into the body section
- Add any necessary tags and alocate proper section
- Save the article
- Preview the article, if there are any issues, the best place to try and fix them is your saved plain text version. Drupal slightly changes what you have pasted when you press publish, so if you try to fix it directly you can introduce new issues.
- If you make any changes, remember to save as a new revision. This way if something breaks you can revert to an earlier version. It should be enabled by default, but to be certain click on 'Revision information' at the bottom of the article editor it should look like this:

If it doesn't. Check 'create new revision' before saving updates.
